A knowledge and understanding of child development is the basis for our Wonderland Preschool Program. Our staff presents our own specially designed and copyrighted curriculum, which brings to our classrooms the best of many educational theories!

Wonderland has divided the pre-kindergarten age group into 2 distinct programs called the Penguin Program and the Dolphin Program.

Our specially designed curriculum was drawn from our own personal experiences throughout the United States and Europe that emphasizes appropriate nurturing experiences. This enhances the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and aesthetic development of your child. The learning centers, motivational activities, and active hands-on experiences build important foundations for future reading and readiness skills while simultaneously reinforcing the child's all important positive self-image. This unique curriculum includes music, art, language, math, science, free and dramatic play, story time, with an emphasis on socialization!

Our child to staff ratio is set at a maximum of 8½ to 1 and many times is set at a lower level!

Program Goals
The Wonderland educational program is designed to allow each child to develop their own unique potential. Each child's individuality is recognized and encouraged. We want to emphasize that your child will be working at his or her own level. Our curriculum includes activities that encourage independence, social cooperation, and an acceptance of self. This will be achieved through experimenting, exploring, and manipulating materials that are developmentally based and sequentially structured. Keeping in mind that the Penguin and Dolphin Programs operate at different levels, the Wonderland goals for both of these programs are:
p
|
Develop & demonstrate language skills necessary to communicate with peers & adults.
|
p
|
Develop & demonstrate growth in intellectual ability.
|
p
|
Develop & demonstrate personal and social growth.
|
 Develop & maintain a positive self-image.
Develop & maintain independence and self-reliance.
Develop & maintain respect for others.
Assist the child to recognize and deal with feelings and emotions.
